Conservative backtest assumptions
- Negative slippage applied: All entry and exit prices include unfavorable slippage. In practice, real execution prices are typically better than what the backtest assumes.
- Exchange fees included: Every trade accounts for a conservative 0.06% fee rate applied to both entry and exit (0.12% round-trip), which is higher than most exchange standard rates.
- Take Profit 2%: Positions close when a 2% gain is reached, or at max hold time (72h BTC, 48h others) — whichever comes first. The most conservative scenario — maximizes win rate.
- This intentionally conservative setup ensures the backtest represents a worst-case scenario, not an optimistic one.
